भीष्म उवाच इदं शृणु महाप्राज्ञ धर्मपुत्र महायश: । इतिहासं पुरावृत्तं शरणार्थ महाफलम्‌

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca idaṃ śṛṇu mahāprājña dharmaputra mahāyaśaḥ | itihāsaṃ purāvṛttaṃ śaraṇārtha mahāphalam ||

Translation

ភីष្ម បាននិយាយថា៖ «សូមស្តាប់នេះ ឱ អ្នកមានប្រាជ្ញាខ្ពង់ខ្ពស់ កូននៃធម៌ និងមានកិត្តិយសធំ។ ខ្ញុំនឹងប្រាប់អ្នកអំពីរឿងរ៉ាវបុរាណមួយពីកាលមុន ដែលបង្ហាញពីផលដ៏មហិមា នៃការការពារអ្នកដែលមកសុំជ្រកកោន»។
