उपस्पृश्य फल कि स्यात्तेषु तीर्थेषु वै मुने । प्रेत्यभावे महाप्राज्ञ तद् यथास्ति तथा वद
upaspṛśya phalaṁ ki syāt teṣu tīrtheṣu vai mune | pretyabhāve mahāprajña tad yathāsti tathā vada ||
ភីष្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ មុនី! ការងូតទឹកនៅតាមទីរថៈបរិសុទ្ធទាំងនោះ នាំឲ្យបានផលអ្វីក្រោយសេចក្តីស្លាប់? ឱ អ្នកប្រាជ្ញដ៏មហា សូមប្រាប់ខ្ញុំតាមសេចក្តីពិត ដូចដែលវាមានជាក់ស្តែង—ថា ផលក្រោយមរណៈពីការងូតទីរថៈនោះជាអ្វី»។
