Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अनेककटिपादश्न अनेकोदरवकक््त्रधृक् । अनेकपाणिपार्श्श्ष अनेकगणसंवृत:
aneka-kaṭi-pāda-śna anekodara-vaktra-dhṛk | aneka-pāṇi-pārśva aneka-gaṇa-saṁvṛtaḥ ||
វាសុទេវៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ទ្រង់មានរূপជាច្រើន—ចង្កេះ និងជើងមានជាច្រើន; ទ្រង់ទ្រទ្រង់ពោះ និងមុខរាប់មិនអស់។ ដៃ និងចំហៀងកាយរបស់ទ្រង់ក៏មានជាច្រើនដែរ ហើយក្រុមបរិស័ទ (គណៈ) ជាច្រើនព័ទ្ធជុំវិញទ្រង់គ្រប់ទិស»។ ក្នុងបរិបទនេះ វាបង្កើតអារម្មណ៍អស្ចារ្យចំពោះវត្តមានលើសមនុស្ស មានអវយវៈជាច្រើន ហើយរំលេចមេរៀនថា អំណាច និងរូបរាងលោកិយគឺអនិច្ចា ខណៈការគោរពពិតប្រាកដគួរបង្វែរទៅកាន់របៀបរបបព្រះដែលគ្របដណ្តប់សត្វទាំងអស់។
