अग्निरुवाच पादमुद्यम्य यो मर्त्य: स्पृशेद् गाश्न सुदुर्मति: । ब्राह्मणं वा महाभागं दीप्यमानं तथानलम्
agnir uvāca pādam udyamya yo martyaḥ spṛśed gāśna sudurmatīḥ | brāhmaṇaṃ vā mahābhāgaṃ dīpyamānaṃ tathānalam ||
អគ្គិបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «មនុស្សណាមានចិត្តអាក្រក់ លើកជើងឡើងដើម្បីទាត់គោ—ឬដូចគ្នានោះ វាយប្រហារព្រាហ្មណ៍ដ៏មានភាគ្យធំ ដែលភ្លឺរលោងដោយតេជៈវិញ្ញាណ ដូចភ្លើង—មនុស្សនោះប្រព្រឹត្តអំពើអាស្រូវធ្ងន់ធ្ងរ។ អំពើបែបនេះបំផ្លាញមូលដ្ឋាននៃធម៌ ព្រោះវាជាអំពើហិង្សាចំពោះអ្នកដែលគាំទ្រ និងបរិសុទ្ធពិភពលោក»។
