ऋषिभि: संशयं पृष्टो वसुश्नेदिपति: पुरा । अभक्ष्यमपि मांसं य: प्राह भक्ष्यमिति प्रभो
ṛṣibhiḥ saṁśayaṁ pṛṣṭo vasuś cedi-patiḥ purā | abhakṣyam api māṁsaṁ yaḥ prāha bhakṣyam iti prabho ||
ភីṣ្មៈបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ «ឱ ព្រះអម្ចាស់! ក្នុងកាលបុរាណ ឥសីទាំងឡាយបានសួរព្រះរាជាវសុ នៃចេទី ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយសង្ស័យមួយ។ នៅពេលនោះ វសុបានប្រកាសថា សាច់—ដែលតាមសភាពជារបស់មិនគួរបរិភោគឡើយ—អាចបរិភោគបាន»។
