मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
मारुतौशनसे चैव ब्रह्मलोक॑ स गच्छति । तत्र दैवतकन्याभिरासनेनोपचर्यते
mārutauśanase caiva brahmalokaṃ sa gacchati | tatra daivatakanyābhir āsanenopacaryate ||
ភីष្មបានមានព្រះវាចា៖ គាត់ទៅដល់លោករបស់មរុតៈ និងលោករបស់ឧសនៈ (សុក្រចារីយៈ) ហើយក៏ទៅដល់ព្រហ្មលោកផងដែរ។ នៅទីនោះ កញ្ញាទេវៈនឹងគោរពបម្រើគាត់ ដោយអញ្ជើញអាសនៈ និងបម្រើដោយក្តីគោរព។
भीष्म उवाच
The passage teaches that disciplined, sustained Vedic observance—especially Agnihotra combined with regulated fasting and pure havis-based diet—yields exalted spiritual merit, culminating in attainment of higher realms and receiving honor befitting one’s dharmic conduct.
In Bhīṣma’s instruction on dharma, he describes the reward for a specific vow-like regimen: the practitioner reaches divine worlds (of the Maruts, Uśanas/Śukra, and Brahmā), where celestial maidens ceremonially honor him by offering a seat and service.
