Suta Goswami (narrating the lineage account to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames creation as orderly and dharma-rooted: stable rishi lineages arise (even mind-born) to preserve Vedic and Shaiva observances, which later culminate in proper Shiva-puja and Linga installation traditions.
Implicitly, it reflects Shiva as Pati—the Lord who governs srishti through ṛta/dharma: even mind-born manifestations and marital unions function as instruments within the cosmic order upheld by the Supreme.
No specific puja-vidhi is taught here; the takeaway is dharmic saṃskāra (sanctioned union and lineage), which undergirds eligibility for Vedic rites and, in Shaiva terms, disciplined living that supports Pashupata-oriented practice.
