युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

वर्तयन्ति स्म तेभ्यस्तास् त्रेतायुगमुखे प्रजाः ततः कालेन महता तासामेव विपर्ययात्

vartayanti sma tebhyastās tretāyugamukhe prajāḥ tataḥ kālena mahatā tāsāmeva viparyayāt

នៅពេលព្រឹកដំបូងនៃត្រេតាយុគ ពួកបុព្វបុរសទាំងនោះបានបន្តពូជជំនាន់ឲ្យដំណើរការចេញពីវា។ ប៉ុន្តែក្នុងរយៈពេលយូរណាស់ ដោយការប្រែប្រួលត្រឡប់វិញនៃសភាពរបស់ពួកគេផ្ទាល់ លំដាប់នោះក៏ធ្លាក់ចុះ។
