Kṛṣṇa Visits Indraprastha; Kuntī’s Remembrance; Kālindī and Further Marriages
kā tvaṁ kasyāsi su-śroṇi kuto vā kiṁ cikīrṣasi manye tvāṁ patim icchantīṁ sarvaṁ kathaya śobhane
This verse shows Kṛṣṇa directly asking a young woman her identity and intention, implying that such desires should be expressed truthfully and handled within dharma, with clarity about family, purpose, and proper arrangement.
Kṛṣṇa’s questions establish her identity, background, and motive—especially since He perceives she is seeking a husband—so the situation can proceed in a righteous and transparent way within the narrative of His līlā.
Before major commitments (like marriage), seek clarity: know who someone is, where they come from, and what they truly intend—truthful communication and right purpose are foundations of dharmic choices.
