पूर्वापरं चरतो माययैतौ शिशू क्रीडन्तौ परि यातोऽर्णवम्। विश्वान्यो भुवना विचष्ट ऋतूंरन्यो विदधज्जायसे नवः
pū́rvāparaṃ carato māyáyaitáu śiśū́ krī́ḍantau pári yāto 'rṇavám | víśvānyó bhúvanā vicáṣṭa ṛtū́n anyó vidadháj jāyase návaḥ ||
By wondrous power these twain move to and fro, like children sporting, they go about the ocean-flood. The one surveys all beings and all worlds; the other, ordering the seasons, is born anew.
