Alamkara Type: Vikalpa (uta/api as alternative), Deśa-kāla-nirdeśa (poetic anchoring by space-time markers)
Concept: Language encodes cognition of time, space, and alternatives through avyayas; meaning is context-governed (e.g., ārāt as far/near).
Application: In commentary/translation, resolve ārāt by context; use uta/api to preserve intended optionality rather than forcing a single reading.

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A diagram of directions with ‘pratīcyām’ marked west; a timeline showing sakṛt (once), carame (at the end), paścāt (after); and a teacher illustrating ārāt as far/near by two distance markers; uta/api shown as branching options.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural with a mandala of directions; west labeled ‘प्रतीच्याम्’; narrative band below showing ‘सकृत्’ as single event, ‘चरमे’ as final scene, ‘पश्चात्’ as following footsteps; earthy tones and stylized figures.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore gold; ornate compass-wheel with west highlighted; small gold-framed panels: one-time ritual act (sakṛt), simultaneous pair (saha/ekavāre), two distance posts (ārāt), branching choice tree (uta/api).","mysore_prompt":"Mysore technical illustration; clean compass rose with Sanskrit labels; sequential arrows for paścāt and carame; side notes explaining ārāt dual sense; fine pastel palette.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature of travelers and a scholar; a map-like panel showing west; a scribe annotates ‘sakṛt’ and ‘paścāt’ in margins; delicate landscape indicating near/far (ārāt) and a forked path for uta/api."}

It imparts Vyākaraṇa-vidyā: the technical meanings and contextual usage of key Sanskrit indeclinables (avyayas) such as sakṛt, ārāt, paścāt, uta, and api.
By cataloging precise grammatical/lexical usage alongside other disciplines, it shows the Agni Purana functioning as a multi-subject reference work—covering not only ritual and dharma but also language science (śabda-śāstra).
Indirectly, correct Sanskrit usage supports accurate recitation and interpretation of śāstric and ritual texts; precision in language is treated as aiding right understanding (samyag-jñāna) and faultless performance (doṣa-rahita prayoga).
