रसश् च पीडको ज्ञेयः कल्क आलोडिताद् भवेत् क्वथितश् च शृतो ज्ञेयः शीतः पर्युषितो निशां

rasaś ca pīḍako jñeyaḥ kalka āloḍitād bhavet kvathitaś ca śṛto jñeyaḥ śītaḥ paryuṣito niśāṃ

«រស» ត្រូវយល់ថាជាទឹកស្រង់ដោយច្របាច់; «កល្ក» កើតពីការលាយ/កូរឲ្យសព្វ។ អ្វីដែលបានដកដោយឆុង គេដឹងថា «ឝ្រឹត» (ទឹកឆុង)។ «ឝីត» គឺអ្វីដែលត្រជាក់ហើយ; និង «បរិយុសិត» គឺអ្វីដែលទុកឆ្លងយប់។
