वृक्षमूले तु तत्रैव मुनिरेकोऽपि समास्थितः ॥ तस्याः विलपितं श्रुत्वा शनैः सकरुणं हृदि

vṛkṣamūle tu tatraiva munir eko'pi samāsthitaḥ || tasyāḥ vilapitaṁ śrutvā śanaiḥ sakaruṇaṁ hṛdi

そこでは木の根元に、ただ一人の牟尼が座していた。彼女の嘆きを聞くと、その胸には次第に憐れみが満ちていった。
