Sanskrit recitationPaingala Upanishad 25

ahaṃ brahmeti niyataṃ mokṣa-hetur mahātmanām | dve pade bandha-mokṣāya na mameti mameti ca ||25||

確かな智「我はブラフマンなり」は、大いなる魂の解脱の確定因である。束縛と解脱には二つの語がある――「我がものにあらず」と「我がものなり」。

The fixed (certain) cause of liberation for the great-souled is (the knowledge) “I am Brahman.” For bondage and liberation there are two words: “not mine” and “mine.”

Moksha through Brahma-jnana; mamakara (mine-ness) as bondageMahavakya: Directly aligns with the Mahāvākya “अहं ब्रह्मास्मि (ahaṃ brahmāsmi)” (Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad, Yajurveda); Paingala reiterates its liberating import.AtharvaChandas: Anuṣṭubh (śloka)
