IAST Transliterationghaṭa-saṃvṛtam ākāśaṃ nīyamāno ghaṭe yathā | ghaṭo nīyeta nākāśaḥ tadvat jīvo nabhopamaḥ ||13||
Translation壺に囲われた虚空は、壺が運ばれると運ばれるかのように見えるが、運ばれるのは壺であって虚空ではない。同様にジーヴァは虚空に譬えられる。
Academic TranslationAs space enclosed by a pot is (seemingly) carried along when the pot is carried, so the pot is carried, not space. Likewise the jīva is like space.
