munaya ūcuḥ | rājanviśvajidākhyāto yajñānāṃ yajña uttamaḥ | sāṃprataṃ kuru taṃ yatnānmā vilaṃbaṃ vṛthā kṛthāḥ
The sages (Munis)
Tirtha: Ayodhyā-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ravi (addressed as rājan)
Scene: Sages, with authoritative calm, instruct the king to perform the Viśvajit sacrifice immediately; one sage gestures decisively toward the altar, indicating urgency.
When dharma is known through wise counsel, one should act decisively—delay weakens righteous intention.
The larger frame is Ayodhyā Māhātmya; this verse chiefly glorifies a yajña (Viśvajit) rather than naming a particular tīrtha.
The sages prescribe performing the Viśvajit yajña immediately and with earnest effort (yatnāt), avoiding needless delay.
