Skanda Purana — Vishnu Khanda, Shloka 62

प्रयतैः प्रतिमा कार्या चंद्रमंडलसन्निभा । सहस्रसंख्या ह्यथवा तदर्द्धं वा तदर्द्धकम् । निजवित्तानुमानेन तदर्धेन तदर्द्धिकम्

Transliteration

prayataiḥ pratimā kāryā caṃdramaṃḍalasannibhā | sahasrasaṃkhyā hyathavā tadarddhaṃ vā tadarddhakam | nijavittānumānena tadardhena tadarddhikam

Translation

清浄と周到な準備をもって、月輪に似た御像を造るべきである。その数は千とし、あるいはその半分、さらにその半分と、各自の財力に応じて定め、必要なら資力にかなうよう一層減じてもよい。
