Transliteration

tataḥ sa pṛthivīpālaḥ sāmnā cogreṇa ca svayam | paryapṛcchatsuhṛdvargaṃ pratyajānanna caiva te

Translation

それから大地の守護者たる王は、ある時は和らかな言葉で、またある時は厳しい言葉で、自ら友の一団を問いただした。だが彼らはその件をまったく認めなかった。
