tāṃbūlaṃ madhu māṃsaṃ ca surāpānasamaṃ viduḥ | eteṣāṃ varjjanāddevi samyagyātrāphalaṃ labhet
タンブーラ(檳榔・ベテル)、蜂蜜、そして肉は、酒を飲むことに等しいと知られる。おお女神よ、これらを慎んで避けるなら、正しく行われた巡礼の功徳を余すところなく得る。
Skanda (deduced)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-yātrā (niyama within Prabhāsa-kṣetra)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī (addressed as ‘devi’)
Scene: A pilgrim receives instruction from a priest/elder: abstain from betel, honey, and meat; the scene contrasts a disciplined pilgrim with temptations of food-stalls, emphasizing purity for full yātrā-phala.
Pilgrimage bears full fruit when supported by self-restraint; purity of conduct is treated as integral to tīrtha merit.
The rule is given within the Prabhāsa pilgrimage (yātrā) context.
A niyama (restraint): avoid betel, honey, and meat during the pilgrimage to secure complete yātrā-phala.
