वाल्मीकिरुवाच । भवंतो यदि तुष्टा मे यदि देयो वरो मम । कथ्यतां तर्हि मे शीघ्रं को देवो ह्यत्र संस्थितः । देविकायास्तटे रम्ये सर्वकामफलप्रदः
vālmīkiruvāca | bhavaṃto yadi tuṣṭā me yadi deyo varo mama | kathyatāṃ tarhi me śīghraṃ ko devo hyatra saṃsthitaḥ | devikāyāstaṭe ramye sarvakāmaphalapradaḥ
ヴァールミーキは言った。「もし諸賢が私を喜び、もし私に恩寵を授けてくださるなら、どうか速やかに告げてください――ここ、この麗しきデヴィカー河の岸に鎮まるのは、あらゆる願いの果を授けるいかなる神なのでしょうか。」
