brāhmaṇa uvāca | yadi devāḥ prasannā me kūpānniṣkamaṇe tvaham | yaṣṭā svaṃ maṃdiraṃ gatvā devayajñaṃ karomyaham
Brāhmaṇa
Tirtha: Tritakūpa
Type: kund
Scene: A distressed brāhmaṇa inside a stone-lined well, hands raised in supplication, vowing to perform deva-yajña upon release; above, unseen devas implied by light and lotus motifs.
A boon is sought not for indulgence but to restore dharmic life—freedom to continue proper worship and sacrificial duty.
The sacred well-site in Prabhāsakṣetra that becomes associated with divine intervention and later tīrtha merit.
A commitment to perform deva-yajña (sacrifice for the gods) after being rescued—linking divine grace with renewed ritual obligation.
