kaśyapa uvāca | anartho brāhmaṇasyaiṣa yadarthanicayo mahān | arthaiśvaryavimūḍho'pi śreyaso bhraśyate dvijaḥ
Kaśyapa
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Sage Kaśyapa addresses a learned brāhmaṇa surrounded by riches; the brāhmaṇa’s sacred fire dims as coins pile up, while a path labeled ‘śreyas’ fades in the background.
For the spiritually vowed, wealth easily becomes delusion and causes a fall from śreyas (the highest good).
Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where such teachings guide pilgrims toward inner purification.
No direct ritual; it warns against wealth-hoarding as contrary to brāhmaṇa-dharma.
