Skanda (deduced from Prabhāsa-kṣetra māhātmya narrative style)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Close ritual moment: a host applies collyrium and sindūra to honored women; scented soft betel-nuts and small vessels are placed in their hands; the host bows as they depart.
Dharma includes graceful closure—honoring guests with auspicious marks, gifts, and respectful farewell.
The practice is part of the Prabhāsa-kṣetra māhātmya’s recommended observances.
Apply añjana and sindūra, give scented soft betel-nuts with vessels into their hands, bow, and then dismiss them respectfully.
