नीलरक्तेन वस्त्रेण यत्कर्म कुरुते द्विजः । स्नानं दानं जपो होमः स्वाध्यायः पितृतर्पणम् । वृथा तस्य महायज्ञा नीलसूत्रस्य धारणात्
nīlaraktena vastreṇa yatkarma kurute dvijaḥ | snānaṃ dānaṃ japo homaḥ svādhyāyaḥ pitṛtarpaṇam | vṛthā tasya mahāyajñā nīlasūtrasya dhāraṇāt
青または赤の衣をまとって二度生まれの者が行ういかなる行—沐浴、布施、ジャパ、ホーマ、ヴェーダの自習、祖霊への供養—も、その者には果報を結ばない。青い糸（ニーラ・スートラ）を帯びるゆえに、大祭さえも空しくなる。
