triḥsapta tarpayāmāsa pitṝṃstatra praharṣitaḥ | jamadagnau mṛte tena pratijñātaṃ mahātmanā

Translation

そこで彼は歓喜し、祖霊にタルパナ（tarpana）の灌水供養を二十一度捧げて満足させた。ジャマダグニ（Jamadagni）が殺されたとき、その大いなる魂は誓願を立てていた。
