彼の祖霊(ピトリ)たちは、恐るべき地獄から解き放たれ、大いなる歓喜に満たされた。やがて彼らは、天のヴィマーナに座し、天華の花鬘と天衣をまとって現れた。

Scene: From the sky above the reservoir, radiant ancestors appear seated in vimānas, wearing divine garlands and shining garments; their faces are joyful, freed from torment; the king looks up in awe.
Tīrtha merit can extend beyond the individual, becoming a means of ancestral upliftment (pitṛ-śreyas).
The Arbuda tīrtha where the king bathed (Nirmalodaka), demonstrated by its immediate pitṛ-phala.
