ततो मंकणकं प्राह पश्य विप्र करान्मम । शुभ्रं भस्म विनिष्क्रांतं पश्य मे द्विज कौतुकम्
tato maṃkaṇakaṃ prāha paśya vipra karānmama | śubhraṃ bhasma viniṣkrāṃtaṃ paśya me dvija kautukam
それから彼はマンカナに言った。「見よ、婆羅門よ——わが手から見よ。輝く白き灰が現れ出た。二度生まれの者よ、わがこの不思議なる徴を見よ。」
