śrībhagavānuvāca | eṣa pāpasamācāraḥ sadā'sītpṛthivīpatiḥ | veṇusaṃjño dharāpṛṣṭhe kuṣṭhavyādhisamākulaḥ

世尊は仰せになった。「この者は常に罪業に耽り、地上の王であった。名をヴェーヌといい、地上にあって癩病（クシュタ）に苦しめられていた。」
