tasmāttuṣṭā vayaṃ vatsa dāsyāmaścitta vāṃchitam | prārthayasva drutaṃ tasmāddurlabhaṃ tridaśairapi
ゆえに、愛しき子よ、われらは満足し、汝の心の望むものを授けよう。急いで願え。それは神々にとってさえ得難いものなのだ。
Pitṛs (ancestors)
Type: ghat
Scene: From the sky, benevolent pitṛs radiate warmth, calling the devotee ‘vatsa’ and offering a boon; the devotee stands with folded hands, the riverbank bathed in auspicious light.
When dharma and ancestral rites are honored, Pitṛs become benefactors—granting boons and removing obstacles on the spiritual path.
The boon request leads directly to the consecration and fame of the tīrtha called Rāmahrada.
No new rite is prescribed here; the verse highlights the fruit (boon) arising from proper Pitṛ-tarpaṇa and dharmic conduct.
