भरद्वाज उवाच । जीर्यंति जीर्यतः केशा दंता जीर्यंति जीर्यतः । चक्षुः श्रोत्रे तथा पुंसस्तृष्णैका तरुणायते
bharadvāja uvāca | jīryaṃti jīryataḥ keśā daṃtā jīryaṃti jīryataḥ | cakṣuḥ śrotre tathā puṃsastṛṣṇaikā taruṇāyate
バラドヴァージャは言った。人が老いるとき、髪も老い、歯も老い、目と耳もまた老いる。されど、渇愛（トリシュナー）—欲望の渇き—ただそれのみが、内にあって常に若い。
