तत्र श्रावणमासस्य पंचदश्यां समाहितः । यः करोति नरः स्नानं स लभेद्वांछितं फलम्
tatra śrāvaṇamāsasya paṃcadaśyāṃ samāhitaḥ | yaḥ karoti naraḥ snānaṃ sa labhedvāṃchitaṃ phalam
そこにて、シュラーヴァナ月の十五日(満月日)に、心を統一して聖なる沐浴を行う者は、望む果報を得る。
Narrative voice (contextually Sūta/Lomaharṣaṇa in Tīrthamāhātmya)
Tirtha: Saptarṣi-āśrama-tīrtha (associated bathing spot)
Type: kund
Listener: Dvi-ja-śreṣṭhas
Scene: A pilgrim at dawn on Śrāvaṇa’s fifteenth tithi enters the sacred water near the Saptarṣi-āśrama, hands folded in sankalpa, mind steady; hermitage and forest frame the scene.
A tīrtha-bath done with mental steadiness, especially on an auspicious tithi, ripens into swift and wished-for merit.
The verse points to “tatra”—the tīrtha being described in this adhyāya (contextually connected with the Saptarṣi-tīrtha narrative that follows).
Perform snāna (ritual bathing) on the fifteenth tithi of Śrāvaṇa with a composed mind.
