देवशर्मोवाच । कामं त्यजत मां सर्वे यूयमन्येऽपि ये द्विजाः । मयैवास्य प्रतिज्ञातं भोक्तुं श्राद्धे महीपतेः
devaśarmovāca | kāmaṃ tyajata māṃ sarve yūyamanye'pi ye dvijāḥ | mayaivāsya pratijñātaṃ bhoktuṃ śrāddhe mahīpateḥ
デーヴァシャルマンは言った。「望むなら皆、私を捨てよ。ほかのバラモンたちも同じくよい。私は自ら、王のシュラーダ（śrāddha）において食を受けると誓ったのだ。」
