yadicchasi tathā kuryāṃ tathā tava manorathān | prasannavadanā bhūtvā kathayasva varānane
Śiva (Maheśvara/Śaṅkara)
Scene: Maheśvara offers unconditional support—open palm gesture of boon-giving; the Goddess brightens, preparing to speak her desired boons; attendants lean in, anticipating sacred conditions.
In Purāṇic dharma, humility and devotion open the way for divine boons and fulfillment of righteous desires.
The surrounding narrative is situated in the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra Māhātmya stream of Nāgara-khaṇḍa.
No direct rite is prescribed here; the verse frames the granting of boons within the Cāturmāsya-related account.
