कारणं कथ्यतामाशु वह्नीन्द्रवसुभिर्युताः । देवा ऊचुः । दैत्यैः पराजितास्तात संगरेऽद्भुतकारिभिः
kāraṇaṃ kathyatāmāśu vahnīndravasubhiryutāḥ | devā ūcuḥ | daityaiḥ parājitāstāta saṃgare'dbhutakāribhiḥ
「その原因を速やかに語れ」と（梵天は）言い、火神アグニ、帝釈インドラ、そしてヴァスたちを伴う神々が御前に立った。神々は答えた。「ああ、尊き父よ。驚異の業をなすダーナヴァらに、戦場にて我らは敗れました。」
