idaṃ purāṇaṃ paramaṃ pavitraṃ viśuddhadhīryastu śṛṇoti vā paṭhet | vidhūya pāpāni purārjitāni sa yāti viṣṇorbhavanaṃ kriyāparaḥ
このプラーナは至上にして清浄なる聖典である。清らかな理解をもってこれを聴聞し、あるいは誦する者は、過去に積んだ罪を払い落とし、正しき行いに励みつつ、ヴィシュヌの住処へと至る。

Listener: Nārada
Scene: A reverential proclamation: the Purāṇa as supremely pure; a devotee recites or listens with focused mind, sins falling away like dust, and a luminous path opening toward Viṣṇu’s abode.
Śravaṇa (hearing) and pāṭha (recitation) of sacred Purāṇic teaching purify karma and orient one toward Viṣṇu through dharmic action.
The verse functions as a phalaśruti within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra Māhātmya (Nāgara Khaṇḍa) setting.
Listening to or reciting the Purāṇa with a purified mind is recommended as a purifying practice.
