न स्नानं देवताहोमस्तपोनियम एव च । न स्वाध्यायवषट्कारौ न च शुद्धिर्विवाहिता
na snānaṃ devatāhomastaponiyama eva ca | na svādhyāyavaṣaṭkārau na ca śuddhirvivāhitā
これらの者には、儀礼の沐浴も、神々への火供（ホーマ）も、苦行と戒律（タパス・ニヤマ）も義務として課されない。さらに、ヴァシャットの唱和を伴うヴェーダ自誦（スヴァーディヤーヤ）も、婚礼儀礼の浄めも、必須とは定められない。
