brahmovāca | prātarmadhyāhnapūjāyāṃ madhye pūjyo raviḥ sadā | rātrau madhye bhaveccaṃdrastadvarṇakusumaiḥ śubhaiḥ
Brahmā
Scene: A shrine interior with a central pedestal: at dawn and noon the Sun-disc is enthroned at the center with warm-hued flowers; at night the Moon-disc replaces it, surrounded by cool white blossoms; attendants arrange offerings according to time.
Purāṇic dharma integrates cosmic order into worship—honouring Sun and Moon according to time reflects harmony between ritual and the rhythms of creation.
This verse gives ritual arrangement rather than naming a tīrtha; it remains within the Nāgara Khaṇḍa’s Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra māhātmya discourse.
In morning/midday worship place and worship Sūrya in the centre; at night place and worship Candra in the centre, offering flowers of appropriate colour.
