भर्तृयज्ञौवाच । बृहत्कल्पे पुरा राजन्हिरण्याक्षो महासुरः । बभूव बलवाञ्छूरः सर्वदेवभयंकरः
bhartṛyajñauvāca | bṛhatkalpe purā rājanhiraṇyākṣo mahāsuraḥ | babhūva balavāñchūraḥ sarvadevabhayaṃkaraḥ
バルトリヤジュニャは言った。「いにしえに、王よ、大いなる劫（ブリハトカルパ Bṛhatkalpa）において、ヒラニヤークシャ（Hiraṇyākṣa）という大アスラがいた。力強く、勇猛で、あらゆる神々を震え上がらせる存在であった。」
