devā ūcuḥ | adre surā vayaṃ sarve vijñaptumiha cāgatāḥ | tacchṛṇuṣva mahāśaila pareṣāmupakārakaḥ
Devas
Tirtha: Mandara-parvata (mythic)
Type: peak
Scene: The Devas speak in unison to the great peak, their hands still folded; the mountain looms like a silent sage, radiant and receptive to their plea.
Even the mighty seek help through respectful petition, honoring those who serve the welfare of the world.
The broader frame is Kedāra Khaṇḍa’s Himalayan sanctity; the verse itself praises the sacred mountain as a benefactor.
None; it is a formal supplication (vijñapti) rather than a rite.
