tapasvināṃ parīkṣāyai yadṛṣīṇāṃ vihiṃsanam | kṛtaṃ tena tadā viprā rāvaṇena tapasvinā

Translation

おお婆羅門たちよ、彼がその時リシたちに加えたあらゆる害は、苦行者ラーヴァナが聖者の苦行を「試す」ためになしたものであった。
