गतेषु तेषु सर्वेषु सखीभिः परिवारिता । तत्रैव च तपस्तेपे परमार्था सती तदा

gateṣu teṣu sarveṣu sakhībhiḥ parivāritā | tatraiva ca tapastepe paramārthā satī tadā

皆が去ったのち、彼女は友らに囲まれ、その場で苦行を修した。その時、最高の目的に心を定めた徳高きサティーは、まさにそのように行じた。
