Transliteration

ete hyaṣṭau samuddiṣṭā brāhmaṇāḥ prathamaṃ śrutau | teṣāṃ paraḥ paraḥ śreṣṭho vidyāvṛttaviśeṣataḥ

Translation

これら八種のブラーフマナは、まさに伝承において最初に説き示された。彼らのうちでは、知と行いの差別によって、後に挙げられる者ほど前の者より勝れている。
