अयं साधुरहो कष्टं कष्टमस्य महाजनाः । साधोर्वदंत्येतदपि पापिनां दुर्लभं त्विदम्
ayaṃ sādhuraho kaṣṭaṃ kaṣṭamasya mahājanāḥ | sādhorvadaṃtyetadapi pāpināṃ durlabhaṃ tvidam
「ああ、この善人は苦しんでいる、なんと辛いことか」――徳ある人について大いなる人々はこう語る。だがこのこと(善人としての名声)すら、罪ある者にはまことに稀である。
