syāmahaṃ cāmaraiścaiṣa varo mama hṛdisthitaḥ | etanme dehi deveśa nānyaṃ vai rocaye varam
Tāraka
Listener: Ṛṣis (frame)
Scene: The daitya, unwavering, presses for a single boon—invulnerability even against gods—addressing the lord of gods with intense insistence.
Single-minded desire for power, when detached from righteousness, becomes bondage; Purāṇic stories show how such boons invite their own remedy.
No sacred geography appears in this verse.
None; it is a direct petition for a boon.
