brāhmaṇa uvāca | bhavatīnāṃ caritreṇa parimuhyāmi cetasi | aho dhārṣṭyamaho moho yatpāpāya pravartanam
ブラーフマナは言った。「汝らの振る舞いは我が心を惑わせる。ああ、なんという大胆さ。ああ、なんという迷妄。人を罪へと駆り立てるとは!」
Brāhmaṇa
Listener: Addressed women / the group whose conduct is questioned
Scene: A brāhmaṇa, brows knit in concern, addresses a group whose conduct he finds morally perilous; the setting is a hermitage or village threshold, with gestures of admonition and lament.
Delusion (moha) and shamelessness (dhārṣṭya) are portrayed as gateways to sin; dharma begins with inner clarity and restraint.
No sacred site is referenced in this verse.
None; it is a moral rebuke rather than a ritual instruction.
