उग्रश्रवा उवाच । श्रृणुध्वचत्यद्भुतपुण्यसत्कथं कुमारनाथस्य महाप्रभावम् । द्वैपायनो यन्मम चाह पूर्वं हर्षाबुरोमोद्गमचर्चितांगः
ugraśravā uvāca | śrṛṇudhvacatyadbhutapuṇyasatkathaṃ kumāranāthasya mahāprabhāvam | dvaipāyano yanmama cāha pūrvaṃ harṣāburomodgamacarcitāṃgaḥ
ウグラシュラヴァ（スータ）は言った。「クマーラナータの大いなる威力を語る、この驚異にして清浄、そして高貴なる聖なる物語を聞きなさい。かつてドヴァイパーヤナ（ヴィヤーサ）が私に語ってくれたのだ――その時、我が身は歓喜の戦慄に彩られていた。」
