Tirtha: Pañca-vināyaka and Viśvanātha (Viśveśvara)
Type: temple
Scene: A pilgrim completes darśana at five small Gaṇeśa shrines (each with distinct icon posture), then enters the Viśvanātha precinct; the pilgrim, previously silent, now raises hands and begins mantra recitation before the liṅga amid lamps and offerings.
Pilgrimage is both outer movement and inner discipline—silence, orderly worship, and mantra—culminating at Viśvanātha.
Viśvanātha in Kāśī, approached after honoring the pañca-vināyaka shrines within the sacred city.
Visit the five Vināyakas, proceed to Viśvanātha, then conclude a mauna-vrata and recite the prescribed mantra.
