tasya saṃpūjanānmartyo vijvaro jāyate kṣaṇāt | prācyāṃ vedeśvarastasya caturvedaphalapradaḥ
そのヴィジュヴァラ・リンガを完全に供養すれば、凡夫はたちまち熱病と苦患から解き放たれる。その東には、四ヴェーダの果を授ける「ヴェーデーシュヴァラ」がある。
Skanda (deduced; Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Vijvara-liṅga; Vedeśvara (east of Vijvara)
Type: kshetra
Scene: At Vijvara, a devotee performs elaborate pūjā; a faint fever-demon motif dissolves into light, signifying instant cure. To the east, Vedeśvara is shown with four Vedas personified as radiant manuscripts or ṛṣis offering blessings.
Kāśī’s worship is both remedial and elevating: sincere pūjā heals suffering and also opens the way to Vedic sanctity and spiritual fruition.
Vijvara-liṅga (for instant relief from jvara/affliction) and Vedeśvara to its east (for caturveda-phala).
Saṃpūjana (full/complete worship) of Vijvara is explicitly stated; Vedeśvara is praised for granting Vedic fruit.
