na kvāpi labdhavānbhikṣāṃ bhāgyahīno dhanaṃ yathā | atha ciṃtitavānvyāsaḥ pariśrāṃtaḥ paribhraman

さまよい歩いて疲れ果てたヴィヤーサは、どこでも托鉢を得られなかった。まるで不運な者が財を得られぬように。そこでヴィヤーサは思案し始めた。
