पाराशर्य उवाच । शृणु सूत महाभाग कथां श्रुतिसहोदराम् । यां वै हृदि निधायेह पुरुषः पुरुषार्थभाक्
pārāśarya uvāca | śṛṇu sūta mahābhāga kathāṃ śrutisahodarām | yāṃ vai hṛdi nidhāyeha puruṣaḥ puruṣārthabhāk
パーラーシャリヤは言った。「聞け、幸いなるスータよ。これはヴェーダの聖聞（シュルティ）に等しき、神聖なる物語である。これを心に納める者は、この世にて人の四つの果—ダルマ、アルタ、カーマ、モークシャ—を得る。」
